Make a Difference

Voluntary Annual Membership Donation

From March 1, 2026, we are introducing a voluntary annual membership contribution to help strengthen and grow the TRNA community.

We invite members to contribute a minimum of $36 per year, less than the cost of a coffee per month to support EMDR training expansion, disaster response efforts, and national volunteer coordination.

This contribution is entirely voluntary. If you are unable to give, we completely understand. If you are able to contribute more, your generosity will make an even greater impact.

Why Your Support Matters

Unresolved trauma can lead to cycles of violence, addiction, and mental illness. Your donation helps us:

  • Train local therapists in EMDR therapy to treat trauma effectively
  • Respond rapidly to natural disasters and crises with early psychological support
  • Support first responders and frontline workers in high-stress environments
  • Reach marginalised communities often left behind in mental health care
  • Prevent long-term harm by building sustainable, community-based recovery networks

Where Your Money Goes

We are committed to transparency and impact. The majority of your donation goes directly to:

  • Training and mentoring clinicians in trauma-affected areas
  • Delivering early intervention programs after disasters
  • Providing culturally appropriate care in underserved communities

If you would prefer to make a one-time donation of any amount, please use the general donation link below.

How Your Contributions Help Impact Lives

"I feel very fortunate to have been part of the Trauma Recovery Network Australia (TRNA). The training through Roy Kiesling has strongly supported my EMDR work, particularly through its focus on the positive belief. The opportunities to learn alongside Roy Kiesling and Derek Farrell have deepened my skills and confidence in EMDR practice. What has stood out most, however, is the generosity of time and support offered by those involved in TRNA to ensure participants feel held throughout their training journey. I was also fortunate to facilitate alongside Pam Brown in rural Victoria. Pam's commitment to securing grants for rural communities and importantly, to listening and responding to what practitioners on the ground actually needed was deeply impactful. More recently, TRNA has continued to demonstrate its strength as a coordinated and responsive community that centres the needs of practitioners and the communities around them. It is a valuable space for upskilling, sharing knowledge, and staying connected within the EMDR community."

- Peta de Burgh

"I am relatively new to TRNA, having completed the online Basic Training 1 and 2 late last year with Anna. Anna was incredibly supportive and encouraging throughout the training. She was open and responsive to questions, offering helpful advice, ideas, and thoughtful feedback. The training was both practical and theoretical, which gave me the confidence to begin working with EMDR immediately in practice. The five days being spread across several weeks allowed time for consolidation and real-world application between sessions. This structure also made it manageable alongside my full-time practice. Completing the training online has prepared me to confidently deliver EMDR online with clients. I have now begun my consultation hours and have found the wide range of available dates and times, along with the ongoing support from the team, invaluable."

- Philippa Kelly

"I have recently been recipient to EMDR therapy to treat PTSD and it has quite literally changed my life, and I feel so passionately about everyone being able to access it who needs it. I have sent a donation to help support the great work you are doing, as it is so... so important!"

- Anonymous, March 2024

"I have been regularly using EMDR with my clients for six months or more, and am seeing really great results. I have been able to close some long-term clients who were very stuck with overwhelming fear related to specific traumatic memories of the fires by using EMDR."

- Robyn Smith, Royal Flying Doctor Service - Victoria
