Learn ASSYST from Dr Ignatio Jarero

(Training open community health workers and peer supporters, you do not have to be EMDR trained to attend)

Program Schedule:

10 am to 12:30 - arrival, introduction, ASSYST training video by Dr Jarero

12:30 - 1:30  Lunch provided

1:30 - 3:30 

  • Live demonstration of ASSYST with groups by Amanda Jones & Carol Guitierrez from the Critical Incident Response Network 
  • Live online Q & A session with Dr Jarero - followed by afternoon tea and networking

ASSYST HEART - developed by Dr Ignatio "Nacho" Jarero

Participants will have the unique opportunity to learn ASSYST (Acute Stress Syndrome Stabilisation) directly from its originator, Dr. Ignacio Jarero. This exclusive training session will feature a 90-minute video presentation by Dr. Jarero, followed by a live demonstration by CIRN clinicians to provide practical insights into the application of ASSYST for groups. The day will culminate in a live Q&A session with Dr. Jarero, joining directly from Mexico, allowing participants to engage with the expert and gain deeper understanding of this critical disaster recovery technique.
