Led by Dr Derek Farrell, (past Chair of the EMDR Europe Practice Committee) and leader in EMDR consultant research and development internationally, this 3 day interactive course will cover:
- AIP Case Conceptualisation
- Models of EMDR Clinical Supervision
- Essential skills in EMDR clinical supervision; and
- Assessing skills in a group setting
This is not just a 'tick the box' training - our TRNA team will be observing practicums and provide feedback for your benefit. These demonstrations will be recorded if you wish for applications to EMDRAA or to use as presentations. We hope the learning from this training will you build professional EMDR consultancy individual and group programs at an international standard.
Speaker Biography:
Prof Derek Farrell MBE is a Professor in Trauma Psychology and Veteran Studies at Northumbria University, Newcastle and Queen's University Belfast. Derek is President of Trauma Aid Europe and the Trauma Response Network Ireland. He is also Co-Editor of the Journal of EMDR Practice & Research. He has been involved in several Humanitarian Trauma capacity-building programmes, including Pakistan, Turkey, India, Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand, Indonesia, Lebanon, Poland, Philippines, Palestine, and Iraq. Derek has authored over 50 academic peer-reviewed publications and several book chapters and is the Co-Editor of the Oxford Handbook of EMDR.

We are a not-for-profit charity that provides EMDR Basic training programs and support to mental health clinicians in rural and remote areas as well as building capacity in disaster affected communities. Our objective is to increase the number of consultants to help with new trainees and our colleagues in times of need. While the workshop is solely for advanced learning in EMDR consultancy methods, we hope you will be encouraged to support others through the TRNA.
